SHS were invited to participate in a Key Stage 3 Dodgeball event organised by Nottingham City Council
Dodgeball is a fast-paced game with students throwing the ball at an opposing team attempting to hit them, catch the ball and therefore scoring points. The rules for this inclusive tournament are slightly different with no one being knocked out of the game. Teams consisted of 4 players each side with a maximum of 6 allowed to play. Points are scored from either catching the ball or hitting an opponent with the ball.
The students who represented Sutherland House School for this tournament were: Riley Jake, Mylo and Jacob. They played students from other schools such as Nethergate, Westbury, and Park Hall. Overall Sutherland House School won 3 games and drew 1. An absolute brilliant effort displayed by all.
The students represented the school in a very positive manner and played the game fairly and to the rules. Shaking hands with the opposing schools at the end of the tournament was excellent to observe.

Next dates for the sporting calendar are:
KS4 Handball – 16th January
KS3 Handball – 11th March
