Students represent SHS in Active Living Running Event

The students ran independently and occasionally with a familiar member of staff.  Each student ran around the 400-metre track twice and collected a sticker after each successful two laps.  Two laps were a bronze, four silver and six gold stickers.

• Two of the students ran the six laps and received a gold sticker
• One of the students ran the six laps and received a sliver sticker

A brilliant effort was displayed by all the students, and they should be very proud of their efforts, especially in the sun and heat!  The running track was very busy with over 100 students representing over ten schools across the region.

The event was a great success, and this is the seventh occasion we have entered a team.  We look forward already to next year’s inclusive running event.
