Students celebrate achievement at first-ever Softball and Cricket Tournament
- School
June 22, 2026
Students from Sutherland House School were invited to participate in a first-ever county-wide Softball and Cricket tournament.
The tournament took place at the West Park Cricket Club and was organised by Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and the Lord Taverners.
Sutherland House School played two games against Beechwood Academy and Bennerdale School. Despite losing both games the team of students from class 7, 9, 13 and 16 played exceptionally well.
This is a fantastic achievement considering it is the first Softball and Cricket tournament we've entered.
All students will receive certificates of the day, and we're pleased to have been asked back by Nottinghamshire Cricket Club and Lord Taverners to attend more tournaments, which demonstrates how successful the event was and how the students involved conducted themselves.
A massive well done to all involved!
