Students shine in Mock Interview Day at Sutherland House School

Shared image 7

Students from Sutherland House School recently participated in interviews with employers and professionals as part of an official Mock Interview Day.

Sutherland House School decided to offer an experience to the students that will allow them to practice jobs interview as it gives the students an insight on what to expect going forward in adulthood.

We invited employers and professional to Sutherland House School to perform these interviews on our older pupils.

Supporting our students with mock job interviews is important as it allows them to build confidence, develop their own communication styles, and gain insight into the companies and what is expected from the employers.

Employers that were invited were from the education and recruitment sector, and some of the companies included:

  • Backlit Gallery - artist led, public gallery and studios supporting arts and culture throughout Nottingham
  • Link3 Education - recruitment agency for supply teachers and teaching assistants
  • Train'd Up - provider of remote workforce learning and training
  • Zen Educate - education recruitment agency

We want to thank everyone involved for allowing us to deliver an authentic, supportive experience where we can help support our students in working towards their outcomes - both during their time with us, and for their next steps into adult life.
