The KS3 inclusive indoor Handball tournament was organised by Sports Nottingham.
The students were supported by familiar staff and their participation in this Handball event is evidence towards their PE Life Skills Award accreditation.
Handball is a non-contact fast paced game where the team who score the most goals win the game.
Sutherland House School played five competitive games against other SEN and mainstream schools from Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Results as follows:
Sutherland House School 5-9 Bulwell Academy
Sutherland House School 4-5 Christ the King
Sutherland House School 4-5 Nethergate
Sutherland House School 8-4 Quarrydale
Sutherland House School 8-7 Hall Park
The staff were pleased with the student's efforts and how they conducted themselves throughout the tournament.
It was incredible to see that at the end of every game, the students showed respect and shook hands with the opposing school.
Upcoming PE Tournaments
Thursday 23rd April - KS3 Boccia @ Harvey Haddon
Thursday 30th April - Inclusive School Games at Nottingham University
Tuesday 12th May - Year 7 Dodgeball @ Harvey Haddon
