Students from SHS experienced a fishy sensory experience.

February 9, 2026
Students in Class 2 at Sutherland House School were able to enjoy a group sensory story called The Rainbow Fish.
The pupils enjoyed using all of their senses throughout this experience. They listened to the calming music, played in the water fish bowl and feeling the rainbow fishes gills on the sequin mat.
It is important that, as a school, we provide these lessons to our students as using sensory stories to frequently promote attention and gets the students engaging in activities. These activities also focus on reading and builds language skills, which are essential for personal development and we love seeing our students grow and develop every day.
