On 29th September, KS3 and KS4 students from Sutherland House School enjoyed an exciting trip to the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield.

The National Videogame Museum is located in Sheffield, England and exhibits contemporary and historic video games

The students took part in workshops on pixel art and DIY controller design using Makey Makey.

Makey Makey is an invention kit designed to connect everyday objects to computer keys. Using a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, the toy uses closed loop electrical signals to send the computer either a keyboard stroke or mouse click signal.

The students learnt about character creation, game controllers and accessibility in gaming.
