SHS were invited to participate in an inclusive Boccia event

The event was organised by Nottingham City Council Sports Active department.
The students who represented Sutherland House School for this tournament were four from class 8 and two from class 12.
Sutherland House School played five games of Boccia against the following schools with the results:
- Sutherland House School 2-1 Ellis Guilford
- Sutherland House School 3-1 Oakfield
- Sutherland House School 1-3 Brackenhill
- Sutherland House School 0-4 Quarrydale
- Sutherland House School 3-1 George Spencer
This was the first time the students from class 8 and 12 have played a competitive game of Boccia in any tournament with other schools.
The students represented the school incredibly well and displayed great teamwork and communication.
A special mention for two students from class 8 who helped to officiate the games by holding up the coloured cards to who is rolling the boccia ball next.
