Sutherland House School was invited by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) to join their 70th anniversary event in Buckingham Palace Garden.
The Gold Award celebration events are designed for attendees to be able to enjoy a variety of activities within Buckingham Palace Garden whilst young people celebrate their outstanding achievements.
Throughout the event, there were opportunities to discover more about the history through highlights and stories drawn from our archive collection.
Guest speakers included Tasha Ghouri, Ash Dykes, Angela Hartnett OBE, Ella-Mae Rayner, Ed Jackson and Matt Green.
It was an honour to be invited and to share our experiences of how DofE offers our young people the chance to build skills and confidence that will serve them into their adult years.
